My teaching is rooted in creating a supportive, inclusive space where students can build musical understanding, develop confidence and proficiency with the harmonium, and experience kirtan as a shared practice of presence, listening, and community.

Music has been central to my life since childhood. I have played a range of instruments in many different groups, giving me a deep and well-rounded understanding of music as both a personal and shared practice. Over the past 30 years, yoga and meditation have been integral to my life, deepening my relationship with sound as a contemplative and devotional practice.

Time spent in India at various ashrams and meditation centres has deeply shaped my understanding of kirtan and devotional music. I have been sharing kirtan in community with Bhavantu Sound for over 15 years and see kirtan as an embodied spiritual practice that I am grateful to share with others.

I have been teaching since 1999 across a variety of contexts, including language instruction, music lessons, and workshops for young adults. This breadth of experience allows me to meet a wide range of learning styles and to support students with clarity, care, and adaptability.
